Who We Are
Harmonize is an independent music publication based in Canada. We explore the intersection of artists, fandom, and sustainability.
Music is and has always been about connection; between artists and fans, people and places, and moments in time. Harmonize exists to document the music, live performances, and fan experiences which create these connections, while also reflecting on the impact the music industry has on our environment.
The climate crisis is one of the defining challenges of our time, and the music industry is not separate from it. All areas of the music industry have an impact on the planet, from touring and festivals, to merchandise and production, to streaming music. This doesn’t mean we should take a step back from music, but rather the industry needs to respond, adapt, and grow to face these challenges.
At Harmonize, we want to create a space and spread awareness for the conversations that matter. We ask how the music industry can evolve in ways that are environmentally conscious, sustainable, and inclusive. We hope to inspire thoughtful conversation and find ways in which we can continue to create meaningful connections through music, all while helping the planet.
