ARTIST SPOTLIGHT – Sdoku

About Sdoku

Sdoku is a 16-year old independent artist from Southern Italy. He writes, records, and produces his own music, creating authentic, genre-fluid pop that’s rooted in personal storytelling.  His tracks blend a variety of styles with influences ranging from The Beatles, Pink Floyd, and Michael Jackson, to The 1975, Arctic Monkeys, Coldplay, and Cody Fry, reflecting both classic and contemporary inspirations.

His debut album, infinite moments, was released earlier this year on March 21st 2025 and is a concept album built on emotional duality. The tracks on the album shift seamlessly across genres, from indie rock on “we only know” to funk on “like that”, and a Latin pop sound on “stronger” featuring Yerom. Each song leans into a different genre, yet the production remains consistently strong, providing a cohesive thread that ties the album together and highlights his skill as both a songwriter and a producer.

Since the release of infinite moments, Sdoku has continued to expand his sound with two new singles. “gambling” released on June 20th 2025, is a vibrant, catchy indie pop track and “never stop believing” released on November 21st 2025, embraces a more guitar-driven pop rock energy.

Artist Q&A

We had the chance to ask Sdoku a few questions about his work and creative process:

HARMONIZE: You wrote and produced your debut album, infinite moments, yourself – what was the most rewarding part of bringing that first full project to life?

SDOKU: The most rewarding part was honestly proving to myself that I could finish something that big. When you’re young and doing everything alone, you don’t really know if what you’re making is “good”, you’re just following a feeling. Finishing infinite moments made me realize I wasn’t just making songs, but I was learning who I am. And the moment people started connecting to it felt unreal. It’s always strange and beautiful to see that the way I feel actually resonates with someone else too.

HARMONIZE: What draws you towards experimenting with different genres and what do you enjoy the most about it?

SDOKU: I don’t really “try” to experiment. I just don’t like to stick to one space for too long. Some emotions need a huge 80s synth pad to find expression, some need a messy guitar, some need something you can dance to even if you’re falling apart. If I forced myself into one box, the music would feel fake. I like following whatever feels honest in that moment, even if it clashes or breaks the rules. The best part is when everything suddenly clicks and you think, “Oh, that shouldn’t work but actually it does.”

HARMONIZE: As you look ahead, what kinds of sounds or ideas are you excited to explore next?

SDOKU: I’m trying to explore the sounds that reflect the way my mind actually works – messy, layered, emotional, sometimes hopeful, sometimes not. I’m not thinking in genres. I’m thinking in moments (or at least I try to). Like: what does relief sound like? What does overthinking sound like? What does finally breathing again sound like? Those are the ideas I want to turn into music. So I’m basically experimenting until something hits me in the chest and feels honest enough to keep.
