Aaron Hibell Captivates Toronto with his North American Debut

Last night (April 21, 2026) Aaron Hibell lit up Toronto’s Opera House on the opening night of his debut North American SYNCHRONICITY Tour. The UK electronic composer and producer released his debut album, SYNCHRONICTY, earlier this year (March 6 2026) and is touring across North America from now until July.

Those who arrived to the venue early were lucky enough to join in on an impromptu meet and greet with Aaron himself – he was stood by the stage chatting and taking photos with fans. Soon after, the music began with a DJ set from Rex DeTiger, warming up the crowd for around an hour as concert goers filtered in and filled up the venue. By the time Aaron was set to take the stage, the venue was packed and despite it being a Tuesday night, the audience was ready for a party.

Aaron’s set design was nothing short of impressive. His setup was raised on grated platforms with numerous lights below it, pulsing and illuminating the stage with different hues. It feels very industrial and sci-fi, which was a wonderful contrast with the venue’s historic accents. The show is immersive and hypnotic – it’s almost impossible not to get lost in the sweeping cinematic sounds that are laced throughout his music. Of course, at its core, the music is dance-forward with drops and heavy bass beats that kept the crowd moving throughout the entire set with songs like “set me free” and “quasar” from SYNCHRONICITY. What really sets his music apart, though, is those cinematic elements and samples which shine in songs like “ascension”. In a live setting, the orchestral and cinematic textures are entirely captivating and make you feel a part of something bigger than yourself.

He also played some older tracks like “i feel lost” and “destroyer of worlds”, along with his remixes including Billie Eilish’s “CHIHIRO”. Throughout the night, Aaron told the audience it was his first time performing in Canada, and remarked on how much energy the audience was bringing him. The energy was palpable and through the roof for the entire set; from start to finish, the crowd was jumping, chanting, and dancing from the front row to the top of the balcony. Aaron even came back out for an encore, which he said he normally doesn’t do, and played “glued deep in time” which is one of his mashups featuring “How Deep Is Your Love” by Calvin Harris and Disciples. The crowd was absolutely loving it and ended the night on a high note with this unexpected track being performed.
