Here are our picks for July 3rd, 2026:
ajar (alt version) – Serendipiti
Serendipiti is sparkling indie folk-pop – bursting with ethereal charm. With hauntingly sweet guitar lines that grow into fizz-up-your nose cinematic sensations, her songs encapsulate a relentless dedication to uncovering the light in the darkness. Serendipiti released idealist, her debut scandi-folk/pop inspired EP built upon romanticism and yearning. In honoring that transformative chapter of her life, Serendipiti now shares the deluxe version – idealist (realist) featuring three new folk-pop tracks. The first bonus track, “ajar (alt version)“, showcases Chate’s folky roots with the combination of whisperingly intimate alternative vocal melodies, lilting lap steel and banjo. Listen HERE.
Wish Upon A Sun – bülow
“Wish Upon A Sun” is a track off of indie pop artist bülow’s debut album I understand you sometimes. After surpassing 2 billion streams, earning the Juno Award for Breakthrough Artist of the Year, and a Grammy nomination, bülow has built a catalog spanning indie pop, alternative electronic, and understated, left-of-center songwriting. Since emerging in 2017, her work has centered on intimate, minimal production paired with diaristic writing. Alongside her solo releases, she’s become a sought-after songwriter and continues to balance global reach with a distinctly personal voice. Listen HERE.
Scapegoat – Jaelyn Skye
Independent singer-songwriter Jaelyn Skye just released her debut single, “Scapegoat.” Blending intimate storytelling with an indie singer-songwriter sound, “Scapegoat” explores the experience of being the younger person in a relationship while carrying the emotional maturity that the older partner lacks. The song captures the frustration and isolation that can come from navigating an age gap where emotional responsibility falls unexpectedly on the younger person. Jaelyn says, “I wanted this song to feel relatable to every listener, but mainly I wanted there to be more queer representation in music and be the change I’ve always wanted to see.” Listen HERE.
junebug! – GAYLE
Multi-platinum singer/songwriter GAYLE, who is set to release her debut full-length album, Observing Chaos, later this year, returns with a brand-new single: “junebug!” “junebug! is about capturing my love for the month of June!,” GAYLE says, “Everyone in my family’s birthdays are in June (including mine)… and duh, Pride Month! So every year the whole month is a continuous party. This song was made to withstand all things fun, exciting, and tiring. It’s for when you’re getting ready to go out, it’s on while you’re out doing things you love with people you love, and it’s always there the day after a party to remind you of how much fun you had.” Listen HERE.
